If you can't edit your php.ini file on subdomains installs and the open_basedir is active there is nothing to do, nor with previous versions.
The only way to get this in this case, is with a change to the code, that will require so, to setup required values of phpBB on wp_w3all config.
You still have not post the link where you have all this problems. About output it is also very, very strange that can depend from wp_w3all.

I'll try to downgrade to v. 1.0.8 for further online tests... It was working fine these last two days before upgrade. I hope I have a copy of this version on my computer...

I had to switch off your last plugin version to carry on my website, right now I'm trying to find a working previous version on my computer.

Thanks, unfortunately, no way to find a v. 1.0.8 zip file on my folders, I may have done it with a wp plugins online install...
