Hello. For a long time, I had no problems. But unfortunately, since I updated to version 2.9.2, the user registration is broken. I have set up my site so that all registrations are handled exclusively through WordPress, and then the plugin transfers the users to phpBB.
However, now an error message appears as soon as someone clicks on the activation link in the email sent by WordPress. The users are actually activated and correctly created in both phpBB and WordPress. But as soon as the activation link is clicked, an error occurs.
This is really unfortunate, because my WordPress is configured in a way that, when someone clicks the activation link, an action is triggered by the Ultimate Member plugin to redirect them to a specific follow-up page.
It definitely has something to do with version 2.9.2, because as soon as I uninstall the plugin, registration and activation via email work without any problems.
would be really happy about help because the current situation is quite confusing for my clients.

Re: User registration is broken in version 2.9.2
So, you manage now registrations only in WP, because if an user register into phpBB, then come to login in WP, or as logged into phpBB, after his registration, is not added in WP nor logged?
And Ultimate Member issue... ok let check all about and let me report tests...
Going to reply also to your pm

Re: User registration is broken in version 2.9.2
I am using only the WordPress registration process. I have modified the PHPBB files so that they redirect to the WordPress registration as well. Users are correctly added to both WordPress and PHPBB.
The issue is as follows: after registration, the user receives an email with an activation link. When clicking on this activation link, a browser opens and shows a “Critical Error” message. However, the user is still successfully activated. If the user clicks the link again, they are informed that the activation code has already been used, and they are able to log in.
This means the problem is somehow related to the activation link, but I cannot trace exactly how. As soon as I deactivate the plugin, both the registration and the activation email process work without any issues.
