Profile Image Synchronization Problems between PHPBB and WordPress

I have a problem with the profile images in WordPress.

When I link the PHPBB user accounts to WordPress, everything runs correctly with their respective images. However, when I update the image in the PHPBB forum, it does not update in WordPress. I have tried disabling the WordPress cache options and it still does not update. The only way it updates is to press CTRL + F5, at which point the image updates. I also tried to check if the same thing happens on my cell phone and I have noticed that the image does not update.

What is the reason for this problem and what should I do so that when I update the image in PHPBB it updates automatically in WordPress?

Ciao! Really it has been long time that i do not put eyes into this aspect.
For what i remember and should be, logically since the changed/updated image should come with different name, the cache should not be the problem: anyway, are you using a cache plugin?
I will try to check this night my time and let you know!

Just tested and to me, the unique possible reason could be a cache plugin you are using in WP, because into my tests it display immediately (as obvious it was due to the prev explain).
If in phpBB, as i imagine, you have an avatar that correctly display updated, probably you are using some cache plugin that maybe prevent the temporary image update into your browser? Let know which plugin is it, because i would like maybe to test so to fix the issue in some way.

I tried to do it with a clean install of Wordpress and phpbb integrating the w3all plugins and still I get this error that does not update automatically in Wordpress.
It may be that the w3all plugin in Wordpress is not configured correctly. Although the option to show phpbb avatar in Wordpress is activated.

Into the integration plugin admin page, both
Use phpBB avatar to replace WordPress user's avatar
and
Activate phpBB avatars on widgets
options require to be set to YES.
Maybe this is not into your configuration?

Yes, I have it activated.
I don't understand why it doesn't update only the image but pressing CTRL + F5 updates it.
I'm kind of giving up on this detail
