Please, if you found some bug somewhere, report, so it will be fixed on 2.4.0 or immediately patched

Is there an attribute or additional code I can add to the "latest post" shortcode in Wordpress?

I have a page I want to use to introduce a specific forum on my site and with that I only want to show the latest posts for that specific forum, not for all of them that are visible for that user.

Can that be done?
