My login link from phpbb looks like it redirects me to the stock phpbb login form, but doesn't pop up the login box like in the picture. I checked the source to see if there was javascript being run from w3all

I did get a javascript error in my debug console, which is the attached image.

Sorry I couldn't find any reference to openmodal login, so I figured that you were maybe talking about this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/ajax-bootmodal-login/

That plugin generates a shortcode that you can embed in a page to login.

I installed and tested out the plugin, and embedded the shortcode into a page. I then tried to log in, and it said that the login was successful, and redirected me to the main page of my site, but didn't log me into either WP or phpbb.

p.s: the openmodal login, temporary workaround to this behavior, display onlogin?
